Imamia Quran

Quranic Commentary (Tafseer)

Unlock the deeper meanings of the Holy Quran through the light of Ahlulbayt (a.s). Understand the context, the wisdom, and the "Batin" (inner meaning) of every verse.

- Understanding the Quran -

Why Tafseer Matters

The Holy Quran is the literal word of Allah (SWT). Yet its meanings are multi-layered = the outer (zahir) meaning, the inner (batin) meaning, and levels beyond that, known only to the Imams of Ahlulbayt (a.s). Tafseer is the scholarly discipline of unlocking these meanings.

Our course goes beyond simple translation. We explore the Sha'n al-Nuzul (context of revelation), the logical structure of arguments, jurisprudential implications, and the spiritual secrets of the verses. This transforms the Quran from a book you read into a guide you live by.

Frequently Asked Questions

Not necessarily. Our teachers teach in English or Urdu and will explain the Arabic linguistic nuances as they arise. However, you must be able to read the Quran at a basic level.

Our curriculum is primarily based on Tafseer-e-Namona (Ayatollah Makarim Shirazi) and Tafseer al-Mizan (Allamah Tabatabai), keeping in mind the needs of modern students.

We have a specialized version of this course for teenagers (12+). For younger children, we integrate "Tafseer stories" into their Tajweed and Hifz classes rather than a full separate course.
